The Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia was founded in 1815. The flag of the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia is not handed down safely. Probably a black-golden flag was used, as it was used by the Empire of Austria as the national flag. In the internet are frequently displayed some other flags for that kingdom, but this flags are not shure and doubtful. It is e.g. green or yellow colored with a border of black and green triangles, a design, which was well known for Austria since the end of the 18th Century and like it was seen on other Austrian flags. In the middle of the flag appeares the coat of arms of the country. As a further variant, the Austrian naval and war flag is specified as the state flag.
The coat of arms of the country was the crowned Habsburg-Austrian eagle, but with a chest-shield, surrounded by the order-collar of the Order of the Goldnen Fleece. The shield was quartered into the heraldry of the Duchy of Milan and Venice, a dragon that spits out a man (bears a man), and the lion of St. Marcus. A central heart-shield showed the insignia of the ruling dynasty, the House of Habsburg-Lorraine.
