Western European Union (WEU), on 23rd of October in 1954 in Paris established military treaty- and support organization. Members were: Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
Dissolved in 2011 and merged into the Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union.
